Why do this course?

Women today are growing in increasing numbers in the workforce in almost every industry and are a key part of the workforce. Women today work shoulder to shoulder with men round the clock. Despite several advancements in the workplace, sexual harassment at workplaces has remained one of the long term challenges. the PoSH Act enacted in 2013 brought out specific legislation and protection for women at workplaces from sexual harassment. Today PoSH awareness is mandatory for all employees not only to make them aware of history and myths around sexual harassment, it is now mandated by law for all employees to be made aware of the consequences. This program is designed as an awareness program help employees understand the need, context and scope of the law. It also educates them of how PoSH is governed at a workplace and what are the duties and responsibilities of employees and employers and the compliance requirements. 

This is a awarenss training course for understanding the PoSH Act (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment) Act 2013. The topics covered in this program are intended for all employees to bring about awareness on the definitions of Sexual Harassment, behaviours, history of the Act and conditions leading to its enactment, myths about sexual harassment at workplaces, dos and don'ts for employees and provisions under the act. The program also covers implementation aspects on how to setup and empower an Internal Complaints Committee, what are their powers, what is the due process, what are the various provisions under the law and what could be the outcomes.
